Even with the hectic pace of life that people lead these days, it has never been easier to make a small donation to Beacon Centre, just use the ‘new’ text giving service managed by the Just Giving organisation and strongly supported by Vodaphone.
The process is as simple as; A, B, C. 
 
  • Enter the code BEAC44 into your text message. This is a unique code for donations to Beacon Centre for the Blind.
  • Choose the amount you want to donate, £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 and add that to your message.
  • Insert the Just Text Giving number, 70070 where to send your message to and press ‘Send’.
 
That’s all you need to do. Your text message won’t cost you a penny to send, from any mobile network operator, not just Vodaphone. It doesn’t even count as a text from any ‘inclusive text package’ from your allowance.
 
The donation will be added to your monthly mobile phone bill by your mobile operator, or, if you are on Pay As You Go, it will be deducted from your remaining credit balance.
You will receive a text acknowledgment of your donation and details of how to add Gift Aid to the donation made. This will add 25% to your donation, straight from the Taxman!
 
How about that for getting money from the Government to the worthy cause you have chosen to support? Just follow the on screen instructions to add Gift Aid and, ‘Hey Presto’ donation made. It couldn’t be simpler.
