Community support
Community support
Experiencing severe sight loss and registering as blind or partially sighted can be a very frightening and isolating experience. Our community support is here to help people regain their confidence and independence and to offer them more choices in life.
On request our team of community outreach workers provide a range of support to adults in their own homes.
The community outreach team can give practical information, support and advice – not only about sight loss but also about the many other issues surrounding it, such as welfare and housing benefits.
We also help people with buying and setting up equipment, reading, form filling and sorting mail – basic help that can have a major impact.
