An annual football competition scored a major triumph after helping to raise thousands for the Beacon Centre for the blind.

Since 1926 the JW Hunt Cup has raised through its annual football competition money towards the services and support that Beacon Centre offer to local blind and visually impaired people. Organised by local people with local teams taking part, the JW Hunt Cup has become an institution and very much a part of the sporting calender within the Wolvehampton area. The competition has raised over £275,000 since it began and was donated in the name of Mr John W Hunt the founder of Chillington Tool Company Limited.
