Thank you to Brockhouse Forgings Limited who donated £60.42 and Fortress Interlocks who donated £10.56 through the payroll giving system. Thank you once again to FBC Manby Bowdler Solicitors for choosing us as their charity partner for 2013-2015.
Thank you to Silks Solicitors for organising another excellent quiz evening, the event raised over £800 and was well attended on the night. Congratulations to the winning team who each won a bottle of fizz and to Waldrons Solicitors who came second. Hope to see you all again next year.
So far 2013 is off to a great start with donations received from Kings Hall Banqueting Suite, and Pallet Track whose employees very kindly sent in a cheque for £600 from a mufti day.
Thank you to everyone who made a donation to Beacon Centre in lieu of Christmas Cards or took a Christmas hamper these include Renault Wolverhampton, Metsec PLC, Basta Parsons Limited and WW Grew Limited.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year and we hope to work with you all again in 2013.
Thank you to Severn Trent for their very kind donation of £1,000. Without donations like this we would not be able to offer the services we do such as our weekly youth club for children aged 5 to 18, twenty children regularly attend and some of the children have been with us for years. One former member of the club explains how attending youth club at the Beacon Centre has played a big part in his development,
“the club helped me develop life skills. In school, I was not the norm and I found it difficult to shake the visually impaired tag and find my identity as a person. In the club, I was the norm and it gave me so much confidence.”

Thank you to FBC Manby Bowdler who helped organised the Wolverhampton Law Society and Walsall Law Association annual quiz and very kindly donated the raffle proceeds of £450 to the Centre. We rely heavily on support from local businesses so it was great that so many of you supported us on the evening.
Beacon Centre would like to say a big thank you to The Tipton & Coseley Building Society for organising a golf day at Worfield Golf Club and raising over £2,000 for Beacon Centre for the Blind. Thank you to everyone who attended and we hope you had a fantastic day.
We would also like to thank Renault Wolverhampton for the very generous donation of £200 and for attending our fun day and bringing along Twizy, their very own electric car. A huge thank you to Birmingham Midshires for providing 8 volunteers on the day, in particular Brian who even did a stint as Peppa Pig. Also thanks to Bowlplex Dudley for bringing along a portable bowling lane. The fun day managed to generate over £700 for the Centre and all support was much appreciated.
