Thank you to Severn Trent for their very kind donation of £1,000. Without donations like this we would not be able to offer the services we do such as our weekly youth club for children aged 5 to 18, twenty children regularly attend and some of the children have been with us for years. One former member of the club explains how attending youth club at the Beacon Centre has played a big part in his development,
“the club helped me develop life skills. In school, I was not the norm and I found it difficult to shake the visually impaired tag and find my identity as a person. In the club, I was the norm and it gave me so much confidence.”

Beacon Centre would like to say a big thank you to The Tipton & Coseley Building Society for organising a golf day at Worfield Golf Club and raising over £2,000 for Beacon Centre for the Blind. Thank you to everyone who attended and we hope you had a fantastic day.

We would also like to thank Renault Wolverhampton for the very generous donation of £200 and for attending our fun day and bringing along Twizy, their very own electric car. A huge thank you to Birmingham Midshires for providing 8 volunteers on the day, in particular Brian who even did a stint as Peppa Pig. Also thanks to Bowlplex Dudley for bringing along a portable bowling lane. The fun day managed to generate over £700 for the Centre and all support was much appreciated.
