Employee fundraising
Employee fundraising
Employee fundraising improves morale and increases motivation, it also provides opportunities for team building and for personal development. when both management and workforce are involved, company unity is reinforced.
Fundraising by employees calls on the goodwill and energy of staff to motivate one another in an attempt to raise funds for Beacon Centre. It generates a sense of corporate pride as well as positive PR among employees and clients. It also enables employees to engage with the community in which they work.
Many company employees like to organise fundraising events. These range from Bollywood Nights to Great Escapes and Golf Days.
We can provide your staff with all the support that they might need: fundraising ideas, local media contacts and help with press releases, support to maximise the fundraising income, volunteers to help with events and much more.
If you would like to know more about Employee Fundraising, please contact Kate Fletcher, Corporate Development Officer, on 01902 880111 or email her at kfletcher@beacon4blind.co.uk
Making us your charity of the year
This is an excellent way to focus activity and spread fundraising effort over the year. It encourages teamwork and the involvement of all employees and it makes for excellent press coverage. It can also involve far more than income generation – it can encompass volunteering and work experience at the Beacon Centre, campaigning, gifts in kind, and more.
South Staffs Water recently made Beacon Centre its Charity of the Year. The partnership extended far beyond a simple donation. It included employee fundraising activity, participation in Beacon Centre events, membership of a steering group to advise on the employment of visually impaired people, and help from the Beacon Centre on communication tools for South Staffs visually impaired customers.
